Serious Games 

Serious games comprise an innovative field of research and economic activity, which attracts diverse stakeholders. Serious games have significant potential to generate growth and innovation in South East Europe. In particular serious games development offer the potential for technology catch up and capability build up.

 

Purpose

The purpose of the Conference is fivefold: 

  1. Bring together game developers, academics, users and regional development experts and policy makers for networking and for identifying opportunities for future synergies 
  2. Demonstrate achievements, such as Serious Games applications and solutions, project results and learning services   
  3. Discuss the use of Serious Games in education (and other areas, such as health care and public services), present use cases, explore underlying issues with experts and users and trigger fruitful discussions 
  4. Promote Serious Games as factor of regional economic development, and   
  5. Award the prizes to the winners of the 1st European Best Learning Game Competition (http://www.serious-gaming.info/6_-_Best_Learning_Game_Competition).
